About Us
In 1991 Gusto Clothing was established, designing and producing leisurewear and knitted woollen apparel. Becoming the first Australian company and one of the first companies in the world to design develop and sell Wool plus Lycra knitwear.
In 1996 Gusto started its European clothing distribution business across Australia and opened a part-time sample and stock clearance store. In 2004 ‘Styleroom’ a men’s and women’s retail concept was opened and the distribution business moved into larger premises.
Gusto Clothing continued to expand its distribution business, including Max Mara and Paul&Shark, Styleroom closed in 2013, and the seasonal sample and warehouse sales continued to grow from the warehouse premises.
In 2019 Gusto moved into larger premises in the Southeastern suburbs of Melbourne and in 2020 opened a menswear clearance pop-up store in Toorak.
Due to COVID-19 and the halt of Gusto’s sample sales and distribution business, the pop-up store opened an e-commerce store.
In 2023 a permanent retail store in Toorak replaced the pop-up and started trading as Styleroom and the clearance outlet moved to Malvern.
The Styleroom continues to grow its stable of beautiful European mens brands and expand its service into ‘Made to Measure’.
